My final project in a Digital Media class proved to be rather challenging. I was tasked with creating a small set, creatively lighting it, and editing anything I wanted into the photos using Photoshop. I chose to rely heavily on my set building, lighting knowledge, and photography skills, because I was confident in my abilities to create my vision and execute minor details within Photoshop.

 

The photoset takes you through an ominous black and white environment. Shadows appear at confusing angles, sharp points are prevalent throughout. I wanted the viewer to feel on edge and to create a sense of unpredictability. The shadows of the humans and trees were created in Photoshop. I also smoothed many of the rough edges in the software that my knife produced while building the set. It was a unique project with many different steps and difficulties, but the final images convey my ideas to an extent I didn't think was possible.
